I created “My Walk Home” to symbolize all the visual cues I am starting to recognize in my daily life. I have always enjoyed going for walks and the meditative state it puts me in, so I wanted to further intensify that with the title. The mountains in the scene relate the Cincinnati landscape that I see often, on my walks home and some of the characters are even taken from my own photos and drawn on, one from Cincinnati and one from my hometown of Carlisle. I always walked home from school, and continue to in college, and I enjoy the parallel this piece has to my old home and my new one.
